HISTORY IS OUR FUTURE.
Carter & Cooley Company is dedicated to preserving the history of the Heights. We restored a building that was built in 1921, as part of a thriving “downtown” Heights. We have collected many pictures which represent the Historic Houston Heights street scenes, people, and homes… many of which are GONE FOREVER.
Progress is preservation. While many builders have developed with sensitive skill, and created beautiful architecture to blend with the historic houses, others insist on demolishing contributing structures. We encourage responsible development, and the maintenance of HISTORIC DISTRICTS.
If you would like information about historic preservation in our neighborhood, please contact the Houston Heights Association at: www.houstonheights.org for a wealth of information about our OWN future in history.
